Hey,
So for anyone who has been wondering where I dissapeared to, my internet was cut off last week =( My roommate totally didn't pay it for a couple months. It is paid now thankfully (by me...) lol, so it will be up again in a few days! Expect a blog on my week without WoW! lol...

My World Is Over!
My World of Warcraft that is ... lol. For some reason my cards won't work on the site to add more time on any of my 4 accounts with any of my 4 credit cards, which is totally lame because they still work everywhere else fine =( I'd say how many times I tried for each account, but it's rather embarrassing and makes me look like some kind of ... addict? lol.
I was totally just about done saving up for my paladin's epic flying mount and was a day off getting exalted with the Shattered Sun as well, which is a total pain! I want to make sure I get that title you can buy, Lauriella of the Shattered Sun just has a good ring to it, lol.
So while I was typing this blog, my Internet died, and has not yet been turned back on... lol. I guess it's good that I have no WoW time since it would all just be wasting away now. So it's been like almost a month since I've been able to play WoW. It sucks, but surprisingly not playing WoW has not killed me! Haha, I guess I am "addicted" to it, but since I haven't been able to play it hasn't been that bad really. So what have I been doing with all my WoWless time???
First, I started up the Sims 2... lol Before WoW I was really really into the Sims. My brothers and neighbours would always have these Sims competitions, like who could make the most money without cheating or who could build the sweetest houses. Of course, I kinda am fond of cheating for simoleans... so I was never good at making the money without cheating, but I can build some pretty nice little houses! hehe
So I had Sims 2 University and Nightlife, and they were really fun, but my roommate got back into the Sims a bit when I did so he bought Sims 2 Freetime and Sims 2 Pets. I'll do a review blog about them when I am finished this one, but I will say here that they kept me very entertained.
In addition to the Sims 2 I've been playing a lot of Guitar Hero (because I had not beaten it on my account yet) and Rockband, and Oblivion and GTA 4. I'll do a separate blog on GTA 4 as well, because there is kind of a lot to say about that game! lol.
I am managing to steal an Internet signal from the window in my living room right now, so though I still wont be able to get WoW to run and can't be on any of my xbox live games, I will be able to blog regularly again! Thanx for everyone who sent messages wondering where I'd disappeared to! hehe, and thanx for continuing to check back for more Blogs! Expect to see many more soon!

Part of Your Alliance
Alright, so I like love watching WoW movies and stuff on youtube and they always make me laugh! For a while I've been trying to come up with an idea to make my own WoW video that is funny somehow.. lol Anyway, I came up with writing a funny song... I wrote this one in a few minutes and will probably make up a better one before I actually decide to make it into a video, but here is my first attempt:
Part of Your Alliance
(to the tune of Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid)
Look at this gear
Isn't it sweet?
Wouldn't you think my whole set's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm a ghoul
The ghoul who has ev'rything?
Look at this dagger
Check out that buff
How can one rogue get all of this stuff?
Right click and inspect me you'll see
(WoW!) she's got everything!
I've got HP and Crit Chance aplenty
I've got trinkets and enchantments galore
(You seen the BT gems?
I got twenty!)
But I dont care
Sure I own
But I want more!
I wanna be where the Alliance are
I wanna be
Wanna be a draenei!
Dancin' around on those
(Whad'ya call 'em?) oh - hooves!
Lookin like this you don't make new friends
Undead aren't know for socializing
Smelling like you've been decaying for
(How long has it been again?) oh, eternity!
Over where they dance
Over where they play
Over where they hang out in the Stockade!
Private not Scout
Wish I could shout
I'm an Alliance!
What would I trade
If I could stay
In Stormwind Castle
What would I stab
To get a slab
Of Stormwind Brie
Betcha those Allies
They don't cannibalize
Bet cha they don't eat their fallen foes
Dwarves and Humans
Gnomes and Nightelves
So sick of Barrens
I'm ready to learn the Alliance Quests
Kill Orcs and Taurens
And even some Bloodelves!
What's an Elekk like?
And how in the world does it run?
Shardin' these epics
Rollin' a Draenei
Transferring my gold over in Booty Bay
Its gonna be so fun
Staring over as level one
As part of the Alliance!

How To Easily Make 1400G a Week in World of Warcraft
So I've been meaning to write a post on how I make my World of Warcraft gold. I don't really save, I spend lots of money on stupid things (like buying the Easter gown for 500g...lol), and all my 70s have maxed professions, but I still maintain about a 9k Gold average.
Know the secret? Dailys Dailys Dailys!!! With the additional dailys added in patch 2.4 and the new 25 daily quest limit, you can rake in well over 1000g a week! Of course there isn't the instant gratification of simply buying WoW gold, but if you're like me and don't like to spend real money on not real things, then you wont mind putting forth the time to make your gold!
I do all the following dailys on my Holy Paladin, so unless you are also a healing class, you will most likely get through them a lot quicker than I would. Of course before there were dailys, I was still making a lot of gold, so I'll explain about how to do that first.
The best way to make money fast in WoW is leveling! You may not think it, but leveling a character from 58-70 in Outland will get you about 2k gold if you aren't careless with your spending! Any class can make it to 70 easily in just quest greens, so there really isn't a big need to spend your money on gear, and yeah when you get to 70 you'll have to get your flying mount, but that will still leave you with about 1k gold. It definitely isn't as effective as just doing dailys, but if you really enjoy leveling like I do, then it is a fun alternative!
Alright on to the most effective method of getting yourself WoW rich! The Isle of Quel'danas is your friend!!! lol There are about six super easy daily quests that you can do in about an hour, all on the island! I do the following: Arm The Wards!, Crush the Dawnblade, Distraction at the Deadscar, Don't Stop Now..., Further Conversions, Keeping the Enemy at Bay, Know Your Ley Lines, The Battle Must Go On The names of these might be a bit off, but their descriptions are right and you should have no problem finding them all. For all of these you'll make about 85G. There are a few other dailys on the Island that I tend to skip simply because I can do all of these quests in a big convenient circle.
After I have finished my quests on the Island I head to the Throne of Kil Jaden in Hellfire (Outland). I grab the two quests there Blast the Gateway and Blood for Blood. These take about 15mins to finish and you get a Shattered Sun Supplies, 5 Aldor or Scryer signets and 22g9s.
I then get back to Shatt and grab The Multiphase Survey, Sunfury Attack Plans, and Maintaining the Sunwell Portal(two are near the Flight Master and one is in the center near the portal to Quel'Danas). They send you to Nagrand, then Blades Edge, then Netherstorm and completing them takes me about 30mins-1hour (depending on how long it takes for the Sunfury Plans to drop and how many other people are doing the quests). You make about 30g30s for them, and you also get Shattered Sun Supplies(which can contain a badge of justice).
When I am through with my Shattered Sun Offensive quests, I head to Skettis and do Fires Over Skettis and Escape From Skettis which get you another 21g9s. From there I take the Flight Path to Ogri'la (need to be revered with the Skyguard I believe to use it). In Ogri'la I do The Relic's Emanations, Banish More Demons, Bomb Them Again and Wrangle More Aether Rays!. You'll make about 45g7s for all of them. These quests all require a certain level of rep with Ogri'la and Skyguard, so if you don't have it you won't be able to do them until you kill the Grons, a quest that begins from an Ogre across from the mana loom in Shatt.
Every day I also make sure I grab the Fishing Daily from Old Man Barlo and the Cooking Daily from The Rokk, which adds about 20g and gives me a chance of getting rare patterns and items, but you need to have cooking and fishing somewhat high before you are eligible for them. They are usually very easy quests and have taken me as little as 10mins to finish both.
So those are the dailys I do on my main every day, which bring in about 200g in 2-3 hours. If you're like me and play for 6+ hours a day(lol) it really doesn't seem to take that long considering how much you make! Plus, if you are rushed or don't have the patience to do ALL of them (I usually only do all of them 4 days a week) then you can pick which ones you found easiest/funnest and just do them! Also as you become more familiar with all of the quests, you can get more done at once (for example you could do a cooking daily+Ogri'la quests+Maintaining The Sunwell Portal all while in Blades Edge).
If you add that up, it is 1400g/week PER CHARACTER! If you are like me and have quite a few level 70s kicking around, if you were working to save up enough for your epic mount or something you could do the dailys on a few characters and be able to rake in 1400g per character every week! With three level 70s... that is like one week to get your 5000g epic flying mount.
So my WoW gold making secret is out! Lol and I hope it helps you all become WoW Rich without having to buy gold =) If you have any questions don't hesitate to post a comment or send me an e-mail! (lilgamergirl@gmail.com)
Happy Questing!

Call of Duty 4 Live Fire Weekend!!!
So I just found out about the Live Fire Weekend a few hours ago, and have been rearranging my weekend accordingly, lol. Basically to celebrate the release of Call of Duty 4 Game of the Year Edition, they are putting on a 72 hour contest!!!
All you need to do is register your gamertag here and for every hour you play CoD4 within the 72 hours, you get a chance to win a prize! The grand prize is an Xbox Elite, so I mean, if you play the game as much as me you'd be stupid to not try and win this weekend!!!
For the rest of the info check the xbox page here, I'd tell you more about it myself but I have to get gaming! It kicks off in 21 minutes!!!
Good luck fellow Cod4ers!
Feel free to join me if you see me on!

Call of Duty 4 - Don't Cry, Its Just a Game!
So I have just recently gotten into the CoD4 craze. When the new maps came out is really when I gave the game a good try. I have a lot of friends who play every day, including my roommate. I think that the main reason I had avoided the game this long, is because of how much yelling seems to take place whenever someone plays, lol. I would often make fun of my roommate for his countless outbursts, but after a few hours, I was doing a bit of yelling myself, (mostly for comedic value, but there was a bit of frustration behind it, lol).
I was first drawn to the game when I checked out the new maps because it has really really good graphics! So, I got me a machine gun and some martyrdom and went nuts . . . I was bad, like really bad when I started! The only kills I could get were when people would get blown up by the grenade I would drop when I died, but as I played more I got a bit better. It was a hard transition from games like Gears of War and Halo, because every time I would see someone, I'd try and duck or jump to avoid their bullets, which doesn't work at all in CoD4.
It is more difficult than GoW or Halo in a lot of ways. You can't just fire off rounds like an insane person and get kills for one because then people will know where you are and come kill you, and because you have limited ammunition. I was always a big fan of the shotgun in GoW, but really you never get close enough to people in CoD4 to make the shotgun useful. Well, there were times people were close enough, but I'd always get stabbed before I could shoot them, haha.
I guess it's level of difficulty is what makes it popular. It takes a lot more concentration and patience than most online shooter games. What makes people freak out at the game though is the lag I find. Sure people will yell out the odd obscenity when they get snipped or blow up, but when people really get into a good freak out, it is almost always because of lag. The lag can make it so that you see someone in front of you, you shoot them many times, and they simply turn around and shoot you once and kill you. Basically you will get "ahead", try to kill someone, but then have to wait as other players "catch up". It is something that is basically unavoidable, but in a game this difficult, it can make for some shouting and possible xbox controller biting, haha.
The people that I know who play CoD4 have some rules they abide by if they want to play (to avoid xbox and personal injuries . . .)
1) Never play when overtired
2)Never play when hungry
3)Never Never play when overtired and hungry!
Also, one of my friends is anxiously awaiting a Nerf xbox controller to be invented, haha. He tends to break things with his when it goes bad in CoD4.
Despite the difficulty and the lag and all the trash talking kids that you cannot escape on xbox live, CoD4 can be really fun. You just have to go into it with a light hearted attitude and when you stop having fun, stop playing! lol.

Looking for a Cell Phone Plan? DO NOT GET ROGERS WIRELESS!!!
So recently my roommate got laid off, and we have been putting off canceling our cell phones for as long as possible because we didn't want to give them up. We got them in 2005 on a couples plan when he was working out of town. The bill was supposed to be $35 a month . . .
Every month out bill was well over $70. Any texting, long distance, talking locally, anything upped our bills, so really we should have looked into cancelling them ages ago, but mostly we just forgot about them because the payments came right out of his account.
We finally got around to calling and cancelling today after having the two phones for 3 years now. Neither of us had touched our phones in months and the bills were still around $80. We called, and somehow our contracts had be renewed, even though we never signed anything renewing them. Not only were both phones renewed, but one was renewed until the end of this year, and the other was renewed until the end of next year. We thought we'd go to a pay as you go type thing if it didn't have monthly fees, but even to switch to that it was going to cost us $210.oo PER PHONE to cancel our contracts!!!
So basically, we paid these people $90/ month for three years, were never late on a payment, never complained about the crappy signals or the dropped calls, and after three years they want us to fork up $420 because we cant afford the bills anymore! Needless to say, I was shocked and angry that they would dare to ask for money for us to get out of a contract that WE NEVER SIGNED!!!
So, if you are shopping around for a cell phone company, make sure you do not pick Rogers Wireless!!! Their hidden fees, make believe contracts and shitty service should have put them out of business long ago, but I guess just no one knows about these things until it is too late, and then they don't know who to tell. I wish I had know!

No More Adventures Under Stormwind!!?! =(
So I was a bit bored in WoW today, and thought I might slip under Stormwind for a little fun. For those of you who have never been, basically you glitched up the wall to the north of the SW Bank. You jumped up the wall on invisible steps and then could drop down underneath SW. It was something I used to do quite often, and when you were waiting for a BG or whatever, it was a fun way to pass the time.
I figured blizzard was well aware of the glitch because of the amount of people who knew about it, and had probably put it there purposefully. I guess I was wrong =( I tried jumping up the wall today, and NO INVISIBLE STAIRS!!! I was shocked and tried it on a different character, still nothing. I then went to the SW auction house, where it was possible to glitch up the wall to stand in the rafters. Even those invisible steps were gone!!! I was so bummed so I asked in general if anyone knew if Blizzard had fixed it, but no one really knew or cared.
It was so fun to go under there! Depending on where you jumped into the massive holes you could come out in different places in SW. Jumping in one would let you drop from the ceiling of the mage tower, and another would bring you up in the basement of the Slaughtered Lamb. Or my favorite, you could stand in the hallway behind the barred up SW instance between Old Town and the Trade District. Of course it was bad if horde knew about it because they could ghost into the city and rez under there and make their way around unnoticed, but I never saw any horde down there, other than myself.
I always said I would quit WoW if they ever got rid of my glitchy playground! I am sad that it is gone, and am not sure if it will make me quit WoW like I had always said, but it definitely made me grumpy enough to shut it off today! It was such a fun little glitchy place and whoever ratted it out and got it fixed better have horrible WoW luck for the rest of their playing days damnit!!!

Still Alive by GlaDOs for Rockband
I just wanted to post quickly about the free for download song, Still Alive by GlaDOs. It is rather easy on vocals, bass and guitar, even on expert once you see it a few times. Vocally I 100% it on my 6th try and 100% it on the guitar after maybe my 12th time?? It is definitely worth getting and practicing if you have been struggling to get the Gold Star Expert Guitar achievement! I'm not very good at the guitar, so that tells you how easy it is. It is also that easy singing wise, lol. After I 100% it and did as good as I will ever do on it, there were still 93 people ahead of me on the leader boards, haha. It is a really fun song to sing i.m.o!
Here is the song on Youtube: Still Alive by GlaDOs
**Edit: I meant you could play it on BASS easily and get the achievement, lol, not guitar! Sorry =S

Call of Duty 4 Map Pack Review
Overall Rating: 15.5/20
So the highly anticipated Call of Duty 4 multi player map pack came out a few days ago. There are 4 new maps in total and the pack cost 800 Microsoft Points. This is about $12.80 (1/5th of the total game cost). A lot of people thought this was rather pricey, but there are only 16 multi player maps that come with Call of Duty 4, so the new map pack adds 1/4 more maps for 1/5 of the price of the game, which isn't unreasonable. Of course new free content would be fantastic, but we don't get to see much of that do we?
New Maps:
Killhouse:
This Map was made by a fan. It is rather small, and would be best for small teams or free for all. There is a sniper tower that you will want to steer clear from (the bottom is wood and there is not much cover) and almost all the cover in the map is wood, which does add an interesting twist.
Creek:
This level would be excellent for snipers! There are lots of buildings to hide in and lots of open ground for people to get caught in. It looks like it is made from the level Heat, Sins of the Father, or Hunted, but I couldn't remember which. It is my favorite of the new maps and looks amazing.
Broadcast:
This map is large. It has two buildings outside the station to snipe from, but overall there is mostly close combat spaces. It is from the level Charlie Don't Surf.
China Town:
This is a remake of Carantan from Call of Duty 2 which they have modernized. It presents a good mix of close quarter and long range fighting, but good snipping spots seem limited. Also, there are a lot of watermelons to shoot!
If you are a big fan of Call of Duty 4 and play a lot, I would definitely recommend getting these new maps! If you haven't purchased the game yet however, I heard there is a Collectors Edition of some kind that will include the new maps, so you should buy that copy rather than the original!

Agoraphobia as a Gamer
I get asked a fair bit why someone like me spends so much time on World of Warcraft. I usually just avoid the question, saying that I am just "addicted" or deny that I actually play that much. I added up the amount of time I have spent on World of Warcraft (approximately) since I began playing in the summer of 2005. It has been about 197 days, which is about 22% of my time over three years. So, yeah I do play A LOT . . .
I never used to play games that much although I did always enjoy them a little. Just after I started playing WoW, someone important to me passed away. It was rough, but WoW was good for a distraction, and I think that is when I really started playing too much. I went on anti-depressants a few months later and was on them for about a year. I didn't really like how they effected me, so when I was a bit better I went off them, convinced that I could just deal on my own. I did, but something else happened.
My mother was a house bound Agoraphobic for years when I was very young. I had never had an issue with it that I had noticed until after I went off the anti-depressants. I had always preferred having friends over to my place instead of going to theirs, and suffered from what I assumed was a normal fear of school so I guess I had mild Agoraphobia even back then, but I had a lot of friends and my family was always encouraging me to go out and do things, so I learned to deal with it. Anti-depressants can treat Agoraphobia, which is basically just a fear of being somewhere that does not feel "safe" and having a panic attack. When I was on anti-depressants, the anxiety and Agoraphobia were basically non existent, and when I was through my depression, and went off the meds, suddenly I had all this strong anxiety of going out that I had never felt before.
I believe I would have been forced, or forced myself to go out had I gotten bored enough staying home. The place I worked closed a few months after I started on my anti-depressants, so I was not working, and I lived at my mom's house with my boyfriend. He covered my share of the rent, and always had because he made more than enough, so I didn't need to work. I still went out with friends, but it was usually only driving around or drinking somewhere. Being drunk allowed me to ignore my anxiety, and my friend's car became one of my "safe" places. I did start staying in more and more however, because there was always something going on in World of Warcraft that made me want to play and most of the time that was more appealing than going out.
Last year the few friends I still hung out with got tired of me staying in all the time. I was living in a new apartment with my boyfriend and saw no real reason to go anywhere because I could have all the fun in the world in my place. It was only after my friends stopped talking to me that I began to wonder what was wrong with me. I never wanted to go out and was always trying to avoid it. I wouldn't even walk to the store that I could see from my window unless someone was with me. Over the last year it has gotten to the point where I only leave the house when I have to walk a block to either my mom's house or my aunt's house for a holiday, and I always have someone to walk with.
I started wondering recently when I reached level 70 on my 6th character on WoW (something that takes about 20 days of play time for me) if WoW was a decent substitute for the social interaction that I was lacking. It definitely satisfied me enough that I didn't mind staying in all the time and only really seeing my roommate and family. There were times when I wished my Internet friends could just hop out of the computer screen and give me a hug on my bad days, but overall I was happy with my life. Sure, I envied the people that were out there travelling the world and working and meeting new people and having memorable romances, but with my imagination I didn't really feel like I was missing out on that much.
I am starting to worry a little now. WoW makes it so I don't feel the need to fix my Agoraphobia, and the main way to get rid of it is by forcing yourself to go out places. I am basically happy with my life the way it is. I have a treadmill, I talk to my friends on Ventrillo, I write and paints and draw until my mind is dead, watch so many movies, but I can't help wondering if I am missing out on my life. I was always interested in travelling when I was younger, and that urge is now gone completely, which is fine, unless it is only gone because of my Agoraphobia. I just don't want to be on my death bed years from now and be like, "Wow, my life was pathetic!".
I think that the only way for me to force myself to go out is if I get bored enough of staying in my apartment. I could cancel WoW, but I truly believe that before I would get bored enough to go out, I would just reactivate it! I am totally trapped! Maybe I'll get fed up with being like this in time, but for now I am happy enough that I know I'm not going to make myself change. I have WoW and writing to keep me busy, and my apartment has a lot of windows. I miss the beach sometimes, but I would have no one to go with these days, and would never go alone . . .

Getting Into A Raid Guild: WoW
So I have been trying to get into some of the 25 man raids recently. When my latest guild broke up I was heartbroken and yes, even cried A VERY TINY BIT, lol, and basically swore that I was done with guilds, but they are kind of addicting! I have everything I could ever hope for and more from Kara, so I thought it was time to try out something a little more challenging. I posted on the WoW forums that I was looking for a guild. I have pretty good +healing with my pally so I figured it wouldn't be too difficult to get into a guild that was currently moving through SSC/TK. I only had a few responses to my post, and only one was appealing enough for me to follow up on.
I applied to the guild on their website. The application took me like an hour to fill out, and luckily I love filling out any kind of questionnaires, haha so I didn't mind. (You can see my app here if you wanna read my awesome application skillz, haha) It didn't take long for them to get back to me, and soon I had a time set up to "try out". This was something new to me because I have never joined a guild without like 3 of my friends being there first, so I've always just been invited without hesitation. I was sort of excited to test out my skills though and see if I could impress these people.
So my time to raid ended up conflicting with other stuff so I had to postpone, but then they invited me to a TK run later on. I didn't have much time to prepare, and didn't really know how much preparing I would need, so I sort of just played it by ear. Once I was there it turned out there were all these needed addons I was missing and some strategy I had to read for a fight I had never even heard of... It was a bad start for sure, and was a bit overwhelming! Turns out they just expected me to have researched the instance and read their guild strategy and stuff without being told to do so, so that was kind of discouraging. I am super into WoW, but not so much that I spend my free time looking into how to do bosses I never think I'll find myself at...
Once I got over the initial shock of being horribly unprepared, I started to enjoy myself a little. The Phoenix was an easy fight to follow, and I didn't blow anyone up in the Solarium, but I did have a bit of trouble avoiding the big electric balls flying around from the Void Reaver. I was assigned to heal one specific tank, and so I focused on him mainly, figuring that a guild this advanced would know that a healer isn't measured on overall healing done in a raid, but weather or not they keep their target up throughout...
After the raid no one said anything to me, so I checked the forums the next morning and still nothing about how I did or what they thought of me or if I was in. I posted a thank you for letting me join them on the raid, and then they posted a link to some stat site that tracks how everyone does in a raid, saying that it "didn't look that pretty" but that they understood there was a large learning curve... I didn't let my tank die any time there wasn't a wipe and I never caused the raid to wipe by doing anything stupid, but all they cared about was my overall healing in the raid I guess. I was always healing the offtank, so of course my healing was lower than the main tank healers and the dps healers...
I figured I was done 25 mans at that point so I joined my friends guild that farms Kara and ZA but has yet to start the bigger raids, and started to settle in. Then the raid guild I had been trying out for
I went to SSC with them last night. It was my first time there, but they were short on healers so there were a few PUG members so they ended up explaining everything that I had spent so long reading about. I don't have a working Damage Meter/ Heal Meter right now, so I have no idea how I did for overall raid healing, but I think I caught on quick. I healed who I was supposed to, never died when it was avoidable, and didn't roll on any loot. Near the end someone whispered me and said that I was doing well, but it wasn't the raid leader who I had been talking to about joining. After the raid as before, no one said anything to me about my performance or what they were thinking about weather or not they would let me join.
They are obviously low on healers right now, but they are still making me jump through hoops to get an invite (or so it seems anyways). I guess this is probably how all of the 25 man raid guilds work, but it just seems like a huge power trip on their part! I get that people have to try out so you can make sure they are not noobs and know how to play their character, but if you have someone trying out, you should pay attention to that person so they don't have to wait around for you to make up your mind. I am good at WoW. I learn quick and I heal well. I am always on time, always have regents, always buff what I am supposed to, always have enough pots and oils and foods and flasks. There are some total idiots raiding SSC and TK and such out there, but I can't get into one???
Yeah, so I haven't been "denied" yet. They denied my friend's application because... it was too jokey I guess, although no one told him it was declined, they just said they would get back to him and then asked me to get him to come along last night even though he was declined, which is the only reason we found out. I don't even care if I get in at this point though! I play WoW because it is fun, not to spend hours and hours of my time trying to prove myself worthy of a group who still wipes 6 times in SSC and hasn't downed Vashj yet. When they talk to me they are nice, but their "elitist" attitude has really turned me off 25 mans! At this point I am pretty sure I will just stick with my Kara/ ZA friend's guild and get some badge gear. They are very nice to me, plus they use vent! I can't stand Teamspeak (which the big guild uses), it sounds like everyone is yelling through a big tunnel!
Obviously I don't handle rejection well, haha, but I've never had to damnit! I guess I haven't been "rejected" yet, but still! I would rather be the hottest fish in the pond than the one jumping through hoops while no one is watching!
New Rock Band Store
So they added this to Rock Band recently, and I love it! It was totally a smart move on their part because there were so many songs that I thought I knew, and might have liked, but I had never gotten around to downloading them to my ipod and making sure before I forked over the points to get them. The new Rock Band Store lets you preview the song, check out the difficulty for all the instruments and vocals and you can buy it right there! You can find it right on the main Rock Band menu in game, which is super handy! Now all they have to do is like, cut the cots of all the songs in half and I will forever be a happy little gamer girl! haha.

Mr.Pinchy and the Magical Crawdad
So I heard about the impossible to find Mr.Pinchy a while ago, and had tried fishing in Skettis for him for a few hours. Basically I read that if you had max fishing and fished for hours, there was still a low chance that you would ever find him. When you did find him, he gives you three wishes (a two day cool down on each wish) and these wishes can range from him presenting you with some potions, him protecting you for a while, or him turning and attacking you. The wish I wanted was to get the Magical Crawdad, which is a non-combat pet. Considering the low chance of finding Mr.Pinchy and then only a chance you will get the Magical Crawdad, I basically gave up hope of ever adding this little fella to my large pet collection.
Recently I had begun leveling my cooking on my main (Holy Paladin) so that I could do the cooking dailys. I had already leveled it to 375 on a level 40 character, so had put off doing it again all this time. I was up in skettis fishing in the schools there for Golden Darters. I had my fishing boots, fishing hat, fishing hook, truesilver fishing line and arcanite fishing rod, a total of +148 fishing to my 375 skill. I was so excited when I saw Mr.Pinchy pop into my inventory, but would not allow myself to be too happy because I was sure I would not be lucky enough to get my Magical Crawdad. I was hopeful however because there were three wishes, and I right clicked while holding my breath and BAM Magical Crawdad in my inventory!!! I was SOO happy, more happy even then when I found Mojo in ZA, lol (although Mojo is super cute).
I had never expected to find this little guy! He is very cute and almost never despawns, even if you are flying around on your flying mount, lol. If anyone is trying for him, I made a note of the coordinates where the school was that I fished him from! It was at (64, 79) in Skettis in Terrokar Forest. I used my first wish standing right there. I have yet to use my other two wishes, but when I do I'll comment on what I got!
Good luck fishing this little guy out! If anyone has any questions I may not have answered on how to find him here please ask! I'll be happy to help anyone find him to the best of my ability =)
WoW Patch 2.4 Fury of the Sunwell
I had been excited but also dreading the release of this new content! I've been trying to get away from my 12 hour WoW days, lol, but this patch has me hooked yet again!
The Fury of the Sunwell opened up a new zone, an island to the north of the Eastern Kingdoms called Quel'Thalas. This island is crawling with Bloodelves, Demons and Undead mostly around level 68-70. There were only a few new quests on this island when it first opened, but as you do more dailys, it opens up more of the island and more quests. You are basically battling everything else on the island for control.
The quests are pretty simple, taking control of rogue robots, collecting mana remnants to blast some crystal, killing demons, and a very fun bombing run (so far). There are a bunch of other dailys in Hellfire, Nagrand, Blades Edge and Netherstorm that also opened up because of Quel'Thalas. So overall there is a ton of dailys to do now. It takes me an hour or more to do them all on my holy paladin, but I have made 1000g since the patch came out doing only those quests! I started doing them on my shaman as well a few days ago to get rep.
The rep rewards are cool if you are an enchanter or jewelcrafter. You can now cut the BT gems with enough Shattered Sun rep, and as an enchanter you can get the Shatter Void ability that breaks a Void Crystal into two Large Prismatic Shards. This ability would be a lot more useful if it didn't have a day cool down. There are also a few other enchanting recipes you can purchase with enough rep, such as Enchant Chest - Defence. There is a new create Brilliant Glass ability for jewel crafters that uses three of each coloured green gem and turns them into a random blue gem. This is really useful, but has sky rocketed the price of the previously dirt cheap green gems and has a day cool down.
For doing most of the Outland dailys you get a Shatterd Sun Equipment bag thing that will have a random piece of armor or weapon in them. They will be at least a green, usually only good for DEing, but there are a few green weapons that sell for a few gold and if you're really lucky you will get a Badge of Justice! I'd defiantly recommend doing all of the Shattered Sun dailys, especially if you could use something from the rep vendor at the Sunwell Plateau. Even if you can't though, as I mentioned before, it is amazing money! If you had the patience to do it on a few characters every day, you would have enough for your epic flying mount in no time!
You can also find a new instance on Quel'Thalas called Magister's Terrace (MgT). This instance is a 5 man and is doable on normal or heroic. On normal it is Pugable, but you definitely need a decently geared group. A member in mostly greens will probably keep you from finishing it, unless the rest of you are in epics. On heroic, it is HARD, but if everyone knows what they should be doing it isn't as hard as it was advertised to be. You can also get a very cute Phoenix Hatchling on Normal or Heroic from Kael'Thas Sunstrider, which doesn't have a bad drop rate (5% from some of the sites I've checked out). There was also a 10 man added with the patch, but it is supposed to be for Black Temple geared groups, and so far only a few guilds on my server have attempted it.
The final thing I will talk about in the patch is the addition of FISHING DAILYS! I have always loved fishing in WoW and have won the Booty Bay Sunday fishing contest twice (so I could get both the pole and the trinket). There is an old man standing by the lake north-east of Shatt who gives you the dailys, and for completing them (so far they have all been very easy and self explanatory) you get a bag of fishing treasures. Inside there is usually 6-10g, some fishing hooks (+100 fishing for 10 mins) and some grey/white item that will sell for 10-15g. There are some really cool (but more rare) items you can get such as truesilver fishing line (+2 fishing to your fishing pole, I think), Chuck's Bucket which holds a baby crockolisk, and even The 2 Ring, which is a BoE epic and is +22 to all stats (it says "Vastly superior to the 1 ring" in the description, lol).
So far Quel'Thalas isn't completely opened up on my server. We are about 70% done the second phase. I believe in phase 3 the new badge gear will be opened up, which will be amazing because I have been hording my badges for months and should have enough for a piece right away! I am loving this patch so much, and if you have gotten bored of WoW and stopped playing, this new content is definitely enough to get you re-hooked!
