How To Get On and Under Ironforge

So I will begin with the how to get under Ironforge because it is the simpler of the two to explain. First off, you will need a mage friend that has the polymorph skill! If you are 70, and they are 20, you may resist it and it may take a few tries, so a mage that is your level or higher is best!

What you need to do is right in front of the AH in IF on the side with the mailbox, jump up on the ledge and get right in the corner behind the pillar at 32,64 (see following picture)

So one of you needs to stand here and start a duel with the other. Once the duel is started you both need to boot it to 47,60 (follow the path on the following map)

Once there, you need to use the brazier to jump up on the little ledge there, and when you're up there, your mage needs to sheep you and you will fall through into "Old Ironforge". You can follow the tunnel down into a big cool looking chamber that reminds me of the inside of Blackrock Mountain, lol.

How to get on top of Ironforge:
Alright, so for this one, all you need is you! Head to the North Gate Pass in Loch Modan and get to the spot (19,15) shown as the red X below.

You must then jump in a zig zag pattern up this hill. It could take a while, but just try and follow along with the contours of the ground and it should be no problem!

Once you make it up, take a left and go past 2 trees and then left again around a third tree. You can keep an eye on your mini-map, because you can kind of make out the path on it.

You then go right and up a rather steep hill that might take you a minute or two to get up. Once you climb it, head to (12,10)

Keep heading along the "path" (basically the only way you can go without dropping off a cliff) and get to (14,15) where you cross over in Dun Morog at (84,21)

You can then skirt around the mountain at (76,17) to (72,17). This will bring you to the airport. I'm sure you'll want to do a lot of exploring here because there are a lot of cool little things to check out, but when you are ready to continue, head to (69, 40). From there, get to (62,32) where you should find a camp (the following picture).

Then turn and head up the hill towards (54, 30)

From the top of the hill you should be able to pick out the platform at (53,33), and you now have to drop down a little ways so that you can stand on it.

Now heal up, and then jump off on the left so you don't die =)
You will then find the IF gates not far from you, so make your way to them (17,85) and drop down to the snowy part. Then go to the left (carefully, walking is probably best so you don't miss the ledge below!). Then go forward twice, and then SE to the lowest platform. (All shown in the pic below)

Then you just follow the ledge around to the front of the gate, where you can sit and watch people duel if you'd like!

To get down, you can move slowly down the wall if you follow the ledge around to the side you did not drop down from. It's sort of difficult though, so hopefully you will have a bubble or a hearth on cool down!

So hopefully this will help if you want to go exploring in your free time on WoW! If you have any questions or if anything isn't clear, please post a comment and let me know!

Bored on WoW? Top 10 Things to do to Pass The Time!

Whether you're waiting on a battleground to que, for your arena team to get it together, or just wasting time while you look for a group, wait for a raid, or spam the trade chat, everyone sometimes finds themselves bored and waiting in the World of Warcraft. So yeah, most people would then shut off the game, and go out and find something more interesting to do, but for the rest of us... here are a list of my top ten things to do to pass the time in WoW!

(If you have something you do, that isn't on my list, please comment about it! I'd like to have a wide variety of choices for activities when I find myself with nothing to do! lol)

In no particular order, here they are:

1 Ironforge Square Jumping - This is a new one for me, as I only heard about it yesterday! Excellent for long or short wait times, and all it requires is that you be in Ironforge! It's simplistic genius is astounding! lol Basically, if you look at the floor in IF, you will see it is made up of large brown tiles, and smaller greyish-blue tiles. Square jumping entails jumping from grey square to grey square, which you may think is too simple to be fun, but there are ones that are close together, that require the rather tricky ability of switching from running to walking mid jump! Also, once you get the basic jumping down, you can incorporate some 360s into your jumps, lol.

2 Stormwind Fountain Dancing bank, jump up, and start dancing! You'll be surprised how many people join you! ( - One of my favorite WoW pass times for sure! Just head to the fountain outside of the Stormwindespecially if your character is female and happens to be wearing no armor! lol) Not sure how to get up on the fountain?? It's easy! Just stand on one of the corners, as far back as you can manage without falling off. Then jump up to the next level at the corner. (see my pic for more clarification) To get up on the statue's head, just jump up, it may take a few tries, but it is possible!

3 Random Whispers - So this one you can do from anywhere, and it can be extremely entertaining! Basically, just think of something completely random that someone might say in the midst of a conversation... (ex: "OMG He actually asked you if you thought it would fit!?") Taken in context, it's harmless, Sally says: Josh asked if I thought the dress would fit me. Your Response: OMG he actually asked you if you thought it would fit!?... see, harmless! But, whisper only your line to someone random, followed promptly by a OMG MT, srry, and prepare to laugh... lol. Everyone will take it the wrong way, lol. Alright, so it's childish, and goofy, but it is funny! You can get a bit more riskay with your whispers too, just don't be too extreme because you don't want to offend some 10 year old girl and get reported!

4 Explore On Top of Ironforge and Under Ironforge - So they did take the wall jumping out of the game (which seemed to be what a lot of people did when they were bored in WoW, me included) but you can still get on top of IF and I am assuming under it as well, because there is no invisible stairs to climb! Getting up is easy, although it will probably require a map so I'll make one shortly after I finish this blog and post it. Getting under is easy as well, but you need the assistance of a bored mage friend. I'll explain it in detail when I map out how to get on top of IF too.

5 Hide and Seek/ Duck Duck Goose - Have a raid that is taking forever to get ready? A few members of your arena team being slackers and haven't logged on yet?? Well, get out of your group, pick a city, pick who is "it", and have fun! Basic hide and seek can be great, but if you want to make it more like hide and seek tag, get a few leather balls and give them to whoever is "it". When they find someone, they must throw the ball and get it into their inventory to tag them, lol. Also, if you're mid raid and half the people go afk, throw in a quick game of Duck Duck Goose!

6 Take Care of the Tram Rat Infestation - Always a favorite for people who just like to kill things, head on over to the Iron Forge side of the Deep Run Tram and start killing rats. They respawn as you kill them, so you'll never run out! If you have a weapon skill that you've been neglecting leveling, this is the place to do it!

7 Sewer Beast Hunting - That's right! There really is a giant albino crock that haunts the Stormwind canals! Although he is extremely rare, if you find yourself standing around bored in SW, go for a swim! He can spawn basically anywhere in the canals, so make sure you check for him everywhere! Be careful if you are below level 61 though! Oh... and he doesn't actually drop any sweet loot, but you'll be able to say that you are one of the few who have actually found and killed the sewer beast!

8 Dueling - When all else fails, head to the gates of IF or SW and you are sure to find someone your level who is willing to duel you! If you don't see anyone, just step back into the city and say you want someone to duel... Won't take long for someone else who is bored to show up!

9 Follow People - It's more like stalking I guess, but it's entertaining for a while! Pick some random level 10, or a 70 if you prefer, and just start following them all over the city. If they take the griffin or hearth, /who them and find out where they went, then go there and find them again! No doubt it will freak the person out, lol, which is what makes it fun.

10 Sell Cats - So this one is a little more complicated, and if you have no sales skills, you wont be very successful at it. Know where the crazy cat lady lives?? Just head out of SW, you'll find her house between SW gates and Northshire Abby. Buy a variety of cats from her, then go back to SW, stand on the steps of the AH, and just like little Pepitos, try and sell your cats to the players that pass you!

Mass Effect Bringing Down The Sky Heavy Armor Pictures

Here are a few pictures of the heavy armor you can get from the Bringing Down The Sky expansion for Mass Effect. It is not "new" armor as I had previously thought, just rare armor, but it is still cool! =D

Zenthos The Not So Mighty GM....LoL

So, for the past couple days I have been leveling a new character on a PvP server. I logged back onto my old server after getting kind of lonely on the PvP one, lol and just as I logged on, I noticed something strange in the general chat of Storm Wind.

I was on my bank character, scoping out who was online to chat with like I usually do, when I noticed that someone who was chatting in general had "Blizz" in front of their name, and not just like a title, like a little Blizz icon! So of course I was like, "omg a GM!" lol

I noticed that the GM seemed to be making a PvP group or something, so I rushed to the keep to see if I could get a glimpse of one of the all powerful GMs! No such luck, but I did come across Machete! (The pig in the picture above) He was level 65 and showed up as hostile, but you couldn't actually attack him because I guess he was the GM's pet. I had actually seen an animal like this one time in the Swamp of Sorrows that had shown it's name in red, and it had me targeted and was following me around a bit before disappearing, and had always wondered about it. I guess it may have been a GM Hunter's pet?

So I hung out with Machete in the keep for a while, he wasn't targeting anything or moving around much, just kinda hanging out, but the GM was talking in general chat a little bit, not really talking to anyone in particular, just talking. I decided to try and see the GM, so I asked politely for the piggy to show me to the GM... lol. The pig then started running and I followed it! haha. It was so much faster than me, and a bunch of people on mounts were following it (my character was like level 1, lol) but the pig kept stopping and turning back to wait for me to catch up! lol.

Anyways, so I followed it to just outside the Auction House in Storm Wind where it jumped up on a box and stopped(the place I have circled on the following pic), so I asked the pig if the GM was around, and the GM said he was in like the "/s" chat, but no one could see him because he was invisible or something, lol. He told us all to dance, lol so we did, and then said that everyone who wanted something had to go send him some gold and he'd give them what they wanted before Blizz took away his powers, lol.

I quickly ran to the mail box and sent the "GM", whos name was Zenthos, 5G and asked for a baby Phoenix pet, lol. I never even questioned why the GM would want my gold, just really wanted to get something special from him! lol...

So after a few more minutes, Machete disappeared and then the "GM" came back online as just a regular player! I am not sure exactly what happened, but I guess basically it was just some guy who had hacked something, lol? I armory'd the guy... too bad he didn't hack himself some better gear... lol This is him here. So basically I was all excited because I thought I was following around a GM's pig... when really it was just some hunter who managed to make his pet look aggressive, himself disappear, and get it to say "Blizz" before his name, lol. I kinda wish I had sent him more gold though, because that was one of the best scams I've ever seen for getting some fast cash! lol. I hope he doesn't get banned for too long, haha, because it all was rather entertaining!

What World of Warcraft Class Am I?? Quiz

Been wondering what class you should try out in the World of Warcraft? Already have a level 70 character and want to see if you are playing the right class for you??

For each of the following questions, record the letters listed at the end of the option ( out of O,K,N,J,H,G,F,B,V) that you choose, on a sheet of paper. For example, if you chose option a from question #1, you would record "K,J,G". Do not peek ahead and see what they represent because you'll spoil it!

1) You're fighting a nasty gnoll and know it's toast after only three more hits, when all of a sudden it takes off and pulls three of it's friends! What do you do?
a)GTFO (run away) -K, J, G
b)Chase after the almost dead gnoll, kill him, then run away -H, G, J, V
c)Destroy the gnoll and then turn on his friends, you never run away! -F, O, B, N, V
d)Message your level 70 friend and tell them to come help you kill stupid gnolls. -K, J

2) You're in an instance and an item you could use drops, who else do you have to roll against?
a)Basically everyone in the group, but I don't mind, if I am meant to get it, I'll win! -K, F, G
b)A few other people, but my chances are good. -B, N, V, H
c)Just one other person, and they don't really need it! -J
d)No one! I am the only one here that could use it. -O
e)I'd just ninja it anyways, so this question does not apply to me... -H, B

3) The guild you are in needs a tank and a healer for tomorrow night, what do you do?
a)respec so I can help them out. -N, O
b)hope that they find someone so that the raid is not cancelled. -H, V, B, K,
c)get one of my friends to help out. -G, K
d)find a new guild because this one sucks. -F, J

4) When leveling, you prefer which of the following?
a)To level alone and level quickly. -F, N, B, V
b)To level alone, but I'm not in a rush. I want to take my time and learn my class. -G, H, O, J
c)To level with a close friend. (who may be my level, or level 70...) -K, J, O
d)To level by doing only instances! -K, J

5) Your guild tells you they need you to respec. What do you do?
a)Tell them no way! You are and have always been the same spec and that isn't changing for anyone! -H, B
b)Tell them you will, but only if they pay for it. -K, V, O, J, N, G
c)Say no, you would if you could, but you like your spec. -F, G
d)Eagerly agree, you love to help out! -N, J, O, K

6)Someone randomly asks you if you'd like to group up and do some quests, you say:
a)Sure! The more the merrier. -K, G, J
b)You check their guild first, if they are from something that is well known, you agree, otherwise you say no thank you. -O, N, F, B
c)You are already grouped with a friend and the two of you agree to say no. -J, H, V
d)You put them on your ignore list, stupid noobs... -B, F, H

Alright, now quickly look over your sheet of paper and add up how many of each letter you have recorded, how many B's or F's or K's etc, and figure out which one you have the most of.

Mostly O's? Try a Paladin!
Mostly K's? Try a Priest!
Mostly N's? Try a Druid!
Mostly J's? Try a Warrior
Mostly H's? Try a Rogue!
Mostly G's? Try a Mage!
Mostly F's? Try a Warlock!
Mostly B's? Try a Hunter!
Mostly V's? Try a Shaman!

Want more info on the classes?? Check out my blog: What Class Should I Play?

I hope this was helpful and fun! =D

What Class Should I Play? - World of Warcraft

There are definitely similarities between the classes in World of Warcraft, but certain types of people will definitely enjoy playing certain types of classes more! Having played through each class a fair bit, and reached 70 on most of them, I thought I'd share my experience to perhaps make someone's choice easier when deciding what to play.

There are 9 different classes, and they are all available on both Alliance and Horde, but only certain races can be certain classes, so if you are really set on a Bloodelf for example, and you were thinking you would try a warrior, well you're out of luck, because Bloodelves cannot be warriors.

So, as I mentioned, if you have your heart set on a certain class, you're going to have a more limited choice as to what class you can play. That said, here is a quick rundown of each of the nine classes.

Warrior: Probably the most basic of all the classes, the warrior. Not to say it does not take a degree of skill to play, which is does if you are to be successful with it. Warriors are good if you like to grind level (kill mobs over and over instead of doing quests) or if you are planning on leveling with friends. They can spec three ways: Arms-high dps & great for leveling, Fury-also high dps, good for pvp (but I don't really recommend fury, I've never been able to play well as fury), and Protection-good for raiding, but pretty ineffective as a solo leveling spec.

Paladin: If you are planning on leveling alone, and are new to WoW, a Paladin is a good place to start. They can do decent dps as the spec Retribution, but you can also effectively heal yourself. They are one of the few classes that when you reach 70, you'll be able to main tank, main heal or dps in raids. Quick rundown of the specs: Retribution-high dmg but depending on how you play your character you may have to drink a fair bit, Holy-almost impossible to level as by yourself, but as a level 70 undoubtedly one of the best healing classes, Protection-very effective leveling class if you grind/AoE level. At 70 they are in high demand and are very effective tanks.

Priest: You will definetly want to be Shadow spected for leveling (unless you are leveling with friends or doing instances in which case holy would be acceptable). There is also the Discipline spec, which can be rather frustrating to level as, but can do decent dps at 70. At 70 they are also very effective healers as Holy, although if you're not careful and pull agro on anything you will basically get one-shotted. You will have to drink A LOT, so patience is a must have!

Shaman: Shamans are a great class if you like being able to do things on your own. With all their totems it's like having a group of three whenever you need it. As leveling I'd recommend Enhancement, which can do high dps but does not burn through your mana. At level 70 Enhancement shamans are usually some of the top dps raid wise. There is Elemental, which is effective dps, but only once you are a high enough level to get all the good talents (I would not recommend it before level 65) Elemental is amazing in PvP. As Restoration, they are very effective healers and are in high demand, but leveling as Resto is nearly impossible by yourself.

Hunter: When people say that playing a hunter is like playing WoW on easy mode, they are correct. A hunter can survive almost any situation they find themselves in and can easily kill an elite three levels above them with only their pet for assistance. Though they are easy, if you are skilled at playing your hunter, they can be the top dps in instances, raids and pvp! The most effective spec for leveling is Beastmastery-Your pet can tank almost anything, destroys mobs, and you still do a fair bit of dmg yourself. Marksman-is high dps on your part, but you'll find your pet will lose agro quickly and you wont be able to take on as many things at once. Also, you will have to drink fairly often. Survival-I am not sure what survival would be good for... there are certain talents I'd recommend grabbing once your finished with one of the other specs, but to level as full survival would not be practical.

Mage: Mages can do amazing dps, and if you are good enough, they can AoE grind like no other. They do burn through mana fast however, so basically no matter what spec you are, you are going to have to drink after only a few pulls. I guess that is why they can make their own water and food. For leveling it is a toss up between fire and frost. As Fire, you will deal a large amount of dmg quickly (so quickly in fact that most of the time a mob will not even reach you before it is dead). Fire is not so handy against more than one mob at a time however, so if you wanted to try out the AoE grinding, you'd want to go with Frost. Frost is more effective too when it comes to handling more mobs at one time by yourself. There is also the Arcane spec, which I would not recommend until 70, and then only partially after specing fire. Then you will do insane dps.

Warlock: Out of all my characters, I'd say the warlock was the easiest to level. They are most effective leveling from 1-50 as either Affliction or Destruction, because you will basically kill things fast enough that it wont matter if your pet loses agro. Once you are able to get the Felguard however, Demonology becomes basically like the beastmastery spec for hunters. You can kill almost anything on your own. I leveled my warlock from 10-70 as affliction, and I did not need to drink that often, and my Voidwalker held agro fine, so I would recommend it for leveling. I am still affliction, and raid wise it does a good amount of dmg.

Druid: Druids are so easy to level if you can manage to get to level 20. At level 20 you get cat form, which does the dps of a rogue, except you can heal yourself. You never have to drink and you kill things fast! So for leveling I'd say GO FERAL! Druids are the other class that, at 70, you can do anything with. As Feral they make excellent tanks and do pretty decent dps, as Restoration they are the best healers in the game, and as Balance they do amazing ranged dps. If you are not sure what you want to do at 70, and are looking for an easy class to level, druids are for you! The only problem with them, is that you are limited to playing either a Nightelf or a Tauren.

Rogue: The rogue is very effective as a dps class, but the main problem with them is everyone and their uncle has a level 70 rogue and is looking for a raid guild... so you'll have to work hard when the time comes to get yourself into a good guild. There are SO many ways to spec your rogue, and they are all fairly effective for leveling, but if you are really serious about them I would suggest checking here for a description of possible builds. The three specs are Assassination, Combat and Subtlety. Personally I am a Combat (swords) rogue.

It turned out there was some mix up about our service getting cancelled/ cut off or something, so instead of just being able to reconnect it, we had to actually get a new modem and satellite receiver because their serial numbers wouldn't work anymore, lol. At least Rogers seemed to feel bad about it all and gave us a better deal on our satellite and three months of free Internet =D

So I am back for good now, so expect to see regular postings once again! There are so many things I want to do now that I am back online, but first thing is going to be to download some of those new Rockband songs! I am a fan of Muse and really like the cover of the Lynyrd Skynyrd song, Simple Man, by Shine Down, which sounds similar. Here's a quick list of the rest of the new ones. I'll review them once I've played them a few times ;)

Rock 'n' Roll Star - Oasis

New Wave - Pleymo
Monsoon - Tokio Hotel
Manu Chao - Les Wampas
Hier Kommt Alex - Die Toten Hosen

Vampire:The Masquerade, Bloodlines

So as I've mentioned previously, I haven't been able to play any of my beloved online games in a while, so I've been dusting off some of my old offline games. One of my favorite games of all time is Vampire: the Masquerade, Bloodlines, and I have been meaning to blog on it for ages, but wanted to play through it again first as a refresher. I finally got around to reinstalling it onto my computer a couple days ago, and I've gotta say the game is just as fun playing through it another time!

The only type of vampire I had beaten the game on was a Venture and this time I have been playing through as a Malkavian. I had started to ages ago but never made it farther than Santa Monica. I am pretty sure Malkavian is my favorite of all the clans! Seeing as how I have already beat the game a few years ago, I sort of remember the story and what happens at the end, and all the way through your character says weird cryptic things that have to do with all the things you don't find out until the end of the game, which is fun. I also love how the Malkavians speak, lol. They are so incredibly insane! I would love to go around talking like that for a day and just see how people react to me, lol.

The storyline is still catchy, even though I basically know what happens in the end, and I love using persuasion and the Malkavian special mind altering ability to get what I want =) I do like how strong the Brujahs are, but they are too ugly for me to get into playing, lol. I'd try a Toreador clan too, they are all sociable and stuff, but I don't like the look of the girl character at all, lol. I intend to try out a Nosferutu someday, because they have to keep to the sewers so it would be like a whole new play experience... There's also Gangrel, which are the more animalistic ones, that would be fun... and Tremere which are like blood sorcerers! Lol... I am sure eventually I will play through the game on each of the clans!

There are like so many bugs in this game... which is the only bad thing about it! Like, it is a fantastic game in every aspect except that it doesn't seem they did much polishing to it. It is basically impossible to play if you have a rather slow machine. I installed it on my lap top first, but it was so choppy I just kept running into walls, lol. There have also been a few times I've gotten stuck or cinematic parts have bugged out and stuff, but despite all those problems, I still love it!

Basically the story starts off with you being sired and then your sierer gets killed by the Camarilla Prince, Lacoix (the Camarilla are basically the people in charge of Vampires). They spare your life as an act to help public relations and send you out into Santa Monica. You do missions for a few other vampires in town who all basically use you and lie to you a bunch, but you end up getting most of them back in the end so it's not bad, lol. After Santa Monica, you can go to Downtown, and there's also Hollywood... and I'm not sure what other places there are... but there's little quests and everything for each area.

It is an older game, so the graphics aren't as fantastic as some of the games out there these days, and the bugs do get annoying from time to time, but it's still one of my all time favorite games for sure!!! Omg if they ever made it into some kind of MMORPG, it would be like my new WoW... haha. I really do hope they make another Bloodlines game someday!

What Happens When GI Joe is Incorporated into Barbie Society

Alright, So I know this doesn't actually have anything to do with games, lol, but I've had a lot of free time while sitting around being internetless, so I decided that I'd go through some of my old things that I have left in my mom's attic...

I came across this guy in one of my many boxes of old Barbie toys, and it cracked me up, so I thought I'd post this in case it gave any of you a laugh as well. My brothers collected these big GI Joe dolls, which I then stole because they were soooo much cooler than shiny headed Ken dolls =)

So this is what happens when GI Joe is incorporated into Barbie society.... oh GI Joe.... you poor thing.... lol

Grand Theft Auto 4 - Liberty City

So I've never been that into any of the GTA games, although I have played them all a little over the years. I was always fond of driving around on motorcycles and trying to not crash and die, but I never really got into any of the stories. I got GTA4 a couple days after it came out, and have played it more than any of the other GTA games I tried in the past. I really like the main character Neko. You can play him how you want him, making choices and such, so he's more of an appealing character than some of the others have been. He's all tortured with a rough past and on some mission to get back at someone who screwed him like 10 years ago. His cousin Roman is hilarious too. The characters keep me interested.
There's a load of people doing drugs, racist and sexist things galore on radio stations, strip clubs, hookers, killing, bank robbing, a whole bunch of really unwholesome stuff (that I guess is GTA's thing). I mean, some of the rather bad things are funny, but most of the time I just find myself gaping at the TV screen being all like, "OMG did they really just say that!?" The game is definitely not for children or anyone who is impressionable in any way! I think the game would be just as good (if not better) without most of that stuff, but I know a lot of people only play the game for that shit. Not my thing, but I guess I get it. Just don't let your grandma catch you getting a lap dance or owning some hooker to get your money back . . .
There is something I have found kind of frustrating, but I think it is just because I'm not very patient when it comes to games. I hate how when you die in a mission, you have to start ALL OVER, including driving to the place to start the mission. I get that it makes the game more of a challenge and all, but for a game of that length, it just makes me be like, "OMG I am not doing that again!" and I turn it off for a few days. If I knew I was closer to the end, it wouldn't be that hard, making myself do things over again, but when I know there's still hours and hours of storyline and missions, well it just gets kind of overwhelming, haha. That said though, I do like that there is so much to the game.
Liberty City is neat to drive around in, and I like how there are secret ramps and jumps that you can get achievements for finding, and hunting pigeons is kind of fun too. Getting away from the police can be exciting, but also frustrating if you are in the middle of something. I stumbled across an Apachi? Helecopter on the first island, so I was able to get a 6 Star police chase going for 5 minutes by just flying around (which was an easy achievement). I really tend to get into games with a lot of achievements, and GTA4 has a ton!
Something that I find kind of cool, but some people I've talked to think is annoying, is your relationships with all your friends. You can take people out on dates and stuff and go bowling or drinking or go play darts, and for the activities, they are like mini games. Bowling is pretty fun, lol. As you go out with your friends more, they like you better and then will offer you things, like some guy will come sell you guns out of the trunk of his car, or there's some girl you can call who can heal you over the phone. You can also customize your cell phone, which is fun!
It really is an impressive little game, and I love Neko (although when he first gets off the boat he is dressed like a hobo and definitely needs a suit asap!). If you aren't easily offended, are not impressionable, and enjoy long games with lots of different types of play, I would definitely recommend grabbing GTA4. There is even Xbox Live play, but unfortunately I haven't been able to try that out yet, but I am sure it is sweet!

The Sims 2 (My offline WoW replacement)

Expansion Packs I Own: University, Nightlife, Freetime & Pets
So I just recently got myself back into the Sims. It still amazes me how much time that game can suck out of your days! I played a lot of the Sims 1 and was a big fan of the Sims 2 when it came out, but shortly after it did, I got into World of Warcraft so I basically stopped playing completely, although the Sims 2 was very fun. When I found myself internetless and WoWless, I fired up old Pleasantview to see how all my little Sims were doing.
Instantly I was just as hooked as the first day I got it! I love the lifetime aspirations like reaching the top of a career or having 10 grandchildren. I had forgotten how much fun it was to have a Sim baby and watch it grow up and teach it's skills to it and get it into private school and then college and then work through a career of it's own! lol. I also had always been interested in the Sim vampires! I had never actually seen one, having not played Nightlife that much before leaving the game behind for WoW, but I knew they were out there because of the vampirisum turn on and the coffins that you can purchase.
So I was working away on a Sim, I forget her first name but her last name was Baker, and she had a daughter named Lydia Baker. Mrs.Baker was downtown at the Tiki Lounge place and I was just about to get her to hop in a cab and head home when I saw him! Count Nolan Adjwhatever? lol. He had like grey skin and red eyes and was wearing total vampire clothes! I ran over and had a chat with him and as soon as my Sim had gone home and slept, I invited him over. Because of the Nightlife game, you need to have chemistry with people before you can get romantic with them, well, chemistry really helps anyways, and my Sim basically hated Count Nolan! I was bummed and was about to go make a new Sim and just hope to meet him again downtown, when I noticed the child, Lydia, had already become friends with him, lol. So it was off to college with her!
Lydia was the knowledge aspiration so almost as soon as she arrived in college, one of her wants was to become a vampire! It was really working out nicely seeing as that is what I had planned for her, lol. She invited Count Nolan over to her dorm one night (he wont come out during the day and runs away whenever the sun comes up, lol) but I couldn't figure out how to get him to bite her! I could influence him to bite others, but not her. I was about to give up when the little icon poped up in the top of my screen saying "Be Bitten", lol.
It was really fun playing a vampire! Especially a vampire in college! Almost every day I'd get a want that was to turn someone else, so by the time I graduated, nearly all the townies in my dorm and all my family and friends were vampires, and I had silver aspiration, lol. Of course it was an added challenge, trying to finish college as a vampire, and I almost died many times when I'd have to fly outside (you can turn into a bat) mid daylight to make it to my final exams, but it was a blast! When my Sim moved back to Pleasantview, she married Count Nolan and had two children with him, although to look after her babies she had to get the cure for vampirisim from the gypsy, lol.
I would recommend turning into a vampire if you're not in college or working! You die quickly if you go sunbathing or anything, lol but at night time your stats don't drop at all so it is great for gaining skill points and such! Plus it is fun to bite people and fly around as a bat! I see that somehow you can get turned into a warewolf or a plant guy, but I have yet to figure out how to do that.
I really enjoy the addition of the hobbies in Sims 2 Freetime, and it is one of those expansions I would definitely recommend grabbing! Pets on the other hand, although they are pretty cute and all, it is kind of more annoying than anything! Neighbourhood dogs are always coming over and digging holes in my yard and there's this skunk who is always prowling around, lol. The animal careers were kinda sweet at first, but it is a fair bit of work keeping a dog happy, and really im more interested in my Sim getting promotions than my Sim's pets.

I was also getting a lot of use out of the Sims 2 Body Shop. You can find it in your Sims folder in the latest expansion (so Freetime for me) in the CSBin. It lets you export skin, hair, makeup, clothes, etc from the game and edit them in photoshop. It is pretty cool if you like a certain outfit but really want it in a certain colour hehe. I'll post some pics of the clothes I made and edited and stuff when I can. I even made some vampire eyes and skin! Needless to say, the Sims has managed to take up a fair bit of my internetless time, although I have been itching to download some new clothes and stuff!
One final thing that I have rediscovered that I love about the Sims is the story mode! I have always loved writing stories and such so my neighbourhood has like such a long story for every single family, haha. Some of my better familys and stuff I'll post a bit about when I get back on my own comp, hehe.
