MOUNTS! MOUNTS! MOUNTS! Changes in 3.2

I must say I am excited! With the release of patch 3.2, Call of the Crusade in game mounts are seeing a huge reduction in price and level requirements!

Apprentice riding (skill 75) which used to be available at level 30 (recently down from level 40) is now available at LEVEL 20!!! It will cost only 4g!!! Which will make leveling those early characters a BREEZE!

Journeyman Riding (skill 150), also known as the epic ground mount, is now available at level 40 and will only cost 50g which is a huge reduction in price, seeing as the training was about 500g at level 60 not long ago!

Expert Riding (skill 225) is now available at level 60 for 600g! That's not too much of a price reduction, but it's trainable 10 levels earlier now, which means you can literally fly through your Outland quests! hehe Also, it's FASTER!! Flying/running at a very nice speed of 150% up from 60%. Faction discounts DO apply to the price of this, which means 570g at Friendly, 540g at Honored, 510g at Revered and 480g at Exalted.

Artisan Riding (skill 300) is still available at level 70, and has not seen any price reduction, other than now your faction rep discounts apply to the training. It is 5000g at Neutral with Honor Hold or Valiance Expedition for Alliance and Thrallmar or Warsong Offensive for Horde. 4750g at Friendly, 4500g at Honored, 4250G at Revered and 4000g if you are Exalted.

As a nice side note, the casting time for any mount is now only 1.5 seconds, down from 3!

Yaay for WoW nerfing!

Bored on WoW? Here's my new WotLK updated What to Do When Bored on Wow List!

So for everyone who finds themselves bored on World of Warcraft, but still unable to shut the game down, (I feel your pain!) here is my new Wrath of the Litch King edition What To Do When Bored on WoW List!

Just as an update, my pre-WotLK list included the following: Ironforge Square Jumping, Stormwind Fountain Dancing, Random Whispers, Exploring Ironforge, Hide and Seek/ Duck Duck Goose, Killing Tram Rats, Sewer Beast Hunting, Dueling, Follow People, Selling Cats... If you want to know more about any of these ideas, check out my previous post here.

#10. T-T-T TRIVIA - Start your own game of WoW (or anything) related trivia in trade chat. Then keep score of who answers the most correctly and hand out (non expensive) prizes. Not only will it be something to keep you occupied, people really like prizes! So, you might make some new friends. I believe there is even a downloadable trivia addon for the game, but, making your own questions can be more fun! Just make sure you actually know the answers so you don't look like a noob!

#9. Start A Riot - Bring up one of thoes horribly annoying topics in trade chat (ie: Chuck Norris, Yetis, Politics, etc) But do it in a way that people will actually respond to you, like OmG Chuck Norris DIED! or Canada is so much better than USA, Haz Ne1 seen Yetis on a Plane, lol. Then watch it take over trade chat, you can even take part!

#8. LF Soul Mate - Start spamming trade LF Soulmate. Be funny and creative, but also pathetic! Not only will it give you a laugh if anyone seriously responds, everyone who reads it will laugh too! Believe it or not, I got this idea from someone who was SERIOUSLY looking for their soulmate in trade chat... I mean, I know people sometimes meet on WoW and get married, a girl I knew in highschool just did! But c'mon, spamming trade for love FtL...

#7. Make A New Alt - I get bored on WoW a lot, which is why I reached the 50 characters limit across all servers ><

#6. Eyes of the Beast - So what hardcore WoWer doesn't have at least a lvl 60 hunter?? Get on your hunter, get out your pet, find some of the opposite faction players, (preferably nooby low lvl ones) and start following them around with your pet while hiding somewhere nearby. Don't do anything other than follow them, stopping when they do, looking at what they do, it's scary for them to see a animal following them around, lol which makes it funny for you!

#5. Professions - Yeah, this isn't going to cure your boredom blues, but c'mon, it's practical! Level up those professions, or if they are leveled, level them up on all your alts! It really is nice being able to provide yourself with all you need regardless of the profession required to create it! If you have ALL your alts professions leveled already (/bow) then go pick some flowers, make them into inscription ink and sell them or something!

#4. Lil Game Hunter - Go find yourself some pets!!! Even if it is just to sell, lol. There are so many farmable pets that now go for so much money because of the vanity pet achievements! My recommendation would be farming for the firefly or the disgusting oozling! On my server they sell for 4000g, and I've farmed 2 fireflies and the Oozeling. It does take a while, but if you do it every time you're bored, you are going to find one! And who wouldn't want to be 4k g richer?! Or, kill pirates around Booty Bay for the Hyasynth Macaw! That little jerk goes for like 13k! It's an impossible drop rate though, lol.

#3. Lowbie Assassination - This one is a little cruel, but bored WoWers are a dangerous thing, right?? Find somewhere that a lowbie (like lvl 12 and under) has to kill mobs that are your race. That in itself may be a difficult task, but unless you're a draenei you should be able to manage! Then you find gear that looks like the lowbie mobs, put it on, flag as PvP and wait for an unsuspecting noob to approach. When they do, start wandering around like an NPC and just wait for them to attack you! When they do, BAM, one shot them! Laughs all around every time!

#2. DESTROY Old Content - There is nothing more satisfying than ripping apart old raid dungeons with a couple of your closest 80 friends! Or, if you're running solo, kill trash mobs in like Zul Gurrub or Ahn Quiraj or something! You might even get some crappy low level epics!!! Or, go get yourself some bijous and get exalted with the Zandalar Tribe!

#1. ACHIEVEMENTS!!!! - Can I just say, hats off Blizz! As if people already didn't have a hard enough time logging off Azeroth! They took one of the things I love most about my 360, and added it to WoW! I am sure you have all noticed the achievement tab, so just scan through it, see if there are any you'd like to do! * They add more like every patch, so if you think you did everything you wanted to already, it is worth it to have another look through!!

I hope my newly updated bored on WoW list helps!!! If there's anything I didn't mention that you do, please leave a comment and let me know what it is! I am always looking for new ways to occupy myself! Thanx!

How To Get a Kirin Tor Familiar (WoW Pet)

So I said I'd write a post on how to get this non-combat pet when I finished getting it myself, and I finally did it! It definitely takes a degree of commitment, but if you are trying to widen your flock of cute little companions, then you should definitely attempt to add this purple void walker to your collection!

This pet if given to you by Archmage Vargoth (remember that staff guy that you could summon all over the place and wave at!?) at the top of the Violet Citadel. Simple right? Wrong... In order to gain access to Vargoth's chamber, you must complete the achievement "Higher Learning".

For the achievement, you must read The Schools of Arcane Magic, which are a series of 8 books that spawn all over the Northrend city of Dalaran. The difficult part of this achievement is that the books all spawn randomly, and once they are read by someone, they disappear again in only 3 minutes!!! Most servers have a channel dedicated just to this achievement (usually called something along the lines of "bookclub"), so if you're going to be book hunting, definitely ask around and see if you can join the channel so that people on your server can alert you when a book spawns. I did it without the help of such a channel though, but I am sure it would make it easier.

To start, I will list all the books and their spawn locations. Each book only has one spawn point, which is one nice thing about the achievement, so if you know you've gotten one, you don't have to check that spawn point anymore! Watch out though, because most of the time when you see a book at any of the spawn points, it is going to be a "fake". There are a few different fakes such as discarded love letters, a book about how portals are not meant for garbage, a children's book, and some other things, but they are easy to recognize as fakes because they aren't called "The Schools of Arcane Magic". Do read the fakes though, because then they will disappear and make room for the actual ones to spawn eventually (and some of them are pretty funny).

The Schools of Arcane Magic - Introduction : Spawns in the Violet Gate (the room with the portal down to Crystalsong Forest) 57:61 It will be in on the floor beside one of the two bookshelves in the main room.
The Schools of Arcane Magic - Conjuration : Spawns in the Violet Citadel 31:46 It will be on the first floor on the bottom of the bookshelf to the right as you enter.

The Schools of Arcane Magic - Enchantment : Spawns in the Threads of Fate 44:47 It will be upstairs on the balcony on a box to the right of the doorway as you walk onto the balcony.

The Schools of Arcane Magic - Necromancy : Spawns in the Ledgermain Lounge 47:39 It will be upstairs in the west most room (across from the stairs) on the empty bookshelf.

The Schools of Arcane Magic - Abjuration : Spawns in the Dalaran Visitor Center 52:56 It will be to the right as you enter on the floor in front of a stool with books on it.

The Schools of Arcane Magic - Divination : Spawns in the Violet Citadel 27:52 It will be upstairs to the left (next to the sands of time portal) on the floor in front of the bookshelf.
The Schools of Arcane Magic - Illusion : Spawns in the Violet Hold 65:53 It will be to the left as you enter on a box beside the daily instance quest giver Archamage Timear.

The Schools of Arcane Magic - Transmutation : Spawns in the Ledgermain Lounge 47:40 It will be on the first floor on the western bookshelf that is near the door that exits in the direction of the trade area of Dalaran.

The way I found all of these books was by planting my character in front of one of the spawn points and leaving her there. Every time I'd have a spare moment, I'd log on, check the spawn point, circle around to all the other spawn points, then log out where I logged in. Once I'd find a book, I'd just take that spawn point out of my circle. My circle was Threads of Fate, then Visitor Center, then Violet Hold, then Violet Gate, then Ledgermain Lounge, then Violet Citadel, and then back to the Threads of Fate balcony. I left my character logged in as long as I could, and would glace back at the screen for books whenever I'd walk past my computer or if there was a break in a show I was watching. I didn't have anyone else looking for books for me and didn't join the bookclub channel on my server, and it only took me about a week to get the achievement. If you're not too serious about it, just check the spawn points whenever you find yourself in Dalaran, and eventually, you'll get it! The more patience and commitment you have, the quicker you'll get it done.

Once you complete the achievement, you will immediately receive a book called Schools of Arcane Magic - Mastery in the mail. Read it, and it will teleport you up to Vargoth's room, and he'll hand over the Kirin Tor Familiar. There's not much to see up there, so once you've got your pet, simply read the book again to teleport back down to Dalaran.

Happy book hunting!!!

My WoW Pet Guide to Getting Stinker and Beyond!

This guide will be a quick run down of 50 pets that are attainable to get you the achievement and Stinker the Skunk. If you've never collected pets before and are starting from scratch, no problem! If you've never sprung for a collector's edition so you have no special pets, no problem! If you've never picked up a Holiday pet, there are still 50 pets you can get!!!

Now, if you're going for the 75 pet achievement, that's a different story... but I'll get into that later!

I've organized my list into how the pets are attained, so if you prefer purchasing pets rather than farming them, or if you don't mind waiting for World Events to avoid farming and spending your gold, then you can easily pick out which pets you are going to get, and how! If you don't mind farming, have the required rep with all the factions, and don't mind putting up the gold, getting Stinker really doesn't take long!

*for pets that are only available to either Alliance or Horde, don't forget that you can most likely get them in the neutral auction house!!!

Sorry that some words are cut off, but blog just isn't wide enough to hold all this info!!! lol

GOOD LUCK! And feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions or e-mail me at lilgamergirl@gmail.com

** As an after note, I forgot to add a few pets to my list!!! There are 4 different crock pets you can get from the fishing daily. They are just random from the bag of fishing treasures, but I hear you can only get them from the quest that sends you to fish a crock out of the Stormwind Canals. I'm not sure about this though, so I just do all the fishing dailies I can.
The second is a Kirin Tor Familiar. This is a difficult pet to get, and I am still working away on it! Once I get it however, I will post a seperate detailed blog about how to get it! =)

WotLK - Warcraft Obsession Renewed...

Oh Blizz, you bastards! Finally I had gotten away from World of Warcraft! I was down to playing maybe a few hours a week at most, and now... Well, now I look like a crack addict again with these epic bags under my eyes!! 36 hour play sessions, 6 characters to level from 70-80, a Deathknight to get to 80, professions to level to 450 and those new achievements too!!! World of Warcraft has gone from being slightly boring, but still enjoyable at times, to ALL I have been doing!

I started out WotLK by making a Deathknight... like a couple other million people. I was hooked right away! They are like a strange combination of a warlock, warrior and rogue sort of, and they have NO downtime what-so-ever! I got to 64 on my Deathknight over the first weekend (I went blood spec with mine, no fun ghoul, but man can I dps!), but then my leveling partner had to go out of town for the week so I had to put her aside and decide which of my 70s to level to 80 first. I decided on my pally, because she has been my main forever and they made her own in that last patch before the expansion. (She's holy/ret, kinda shockadinish, probably a lame build, but it works for me!) I like the achievements when leveling, it encourages me too look around a new zone to get the exploration one and the quest achievement for a zone lets me know if I am missing a camp of quests or when I am almost finished.

The quests in Northrend so far have been amazing! They are actually fun and none of them have been difficult so far (I am currently level 76). As a pally I can solo any two man quests and some of the three mans, so it has all been pretty easy! Each level is taking approximately 8 hours right now, but I am guessing that will be significantly shorter on my next character through Northrend when I actually know how to do all the quests!

I will update more when I actually reach 80 on my Paladin and my Deathknight, but for now that is all I will say, because I really want to get back to playing!!!

Um, Is That A Bloodtroll Shamaladin? - World of Warcraft

So I am not sure how this happened, lmao, but my roommate logged into his account and for some reason it mushed his Troll Shaman, his Bloodelf Paladin and my Human Paladin (which is on a different account) all into one! I instantly named it a Bloodtroll Shamaladin, haha and we've had some fun joking about it for quite some time now. I thought I'd share seeing as I stumbled across the screen shot today and it still made me laugh. They should definitely add a Shamaladin class! Wouldn't they own???

What World of Warcraft Professions Should I Chose?

There are 10 different primary professions that you can have. They are:
  • Enchanting
  • Blacksmithing
  • Tailoring
  • Alchemy
  • Herbalism
  • Mining
  • Jewel Crafting
  • Skinning
  • Leatherworking
  • Engineering
There are three secondary professions that are available to learn in addition to your primary professions which are:
  • Cooking - Good $$ maker & helpful to you.
  • Fishing - Good $$ maker.
  • First Aid - Helpful to you.

In this post, I will discuss each of the primary professions briefly to give you a bit of background information if you are finding it difficult to decide which you should chose. I will also go over the secondary professions and let you know which are must haves, and which can be left to level until you are just bored without anything else to do, lol. I will start with the secondary professions.

So I would recommend grabbing Cooking, Fishing and First Aid as soon as you can! Of course you may not be able to afford them at level 1, but when you have the spare silver, make sure you grab them. The most important of the secondary professions would be Fist Aid (unless you are a healing class), so make sure you get it first.
Basically your professions are set up so that you can level them as you level, so if you are already level 70 and are just thinking about getting them now, it will be a little more frustrating than if you just do it as you level.

First Aid is easy. You just need the cloth that you'll find while you're questing, just make sure you pick it all up! If you are 70, just go farm for a bit, it won't take you that long to find it all. It will probably keep you from doing your cloth turn ins in whatever cities you are trying to gain rep with (which can be a lot of experience), so you'll just have to decide if you'd rather have more xp, or max out your first aid! (You can always go get more cloth later for the turn ins.)
If you are a healing class, you may not need first aid right away, but I do have it with all of my characters. There is always the possibility
that you will want to reserve mana, in which cases bandages come in quite handy!

Fishing is one of the more time consuming professions I find. It takes 15 caught fish on average to get a point, and it does not matter where you fish, so I'd definitely recommend leveling it somewhere that you are catching all of the fish, and none are getting away. So basically, it will take you 5625 fish to get your fishing maxed, which will take a long time, so don't attempt it all at once! Just do it for fun when you are bored, or take part in the fishing contests on Sunday in Booty Bay, or fish in the canals in Stormwind when you are waiting on a Battleground. If you do manage to max out your fishing, it will really help you level your cooking and you can make a lot of money selling extra fish from Outland! (Plus the fishing dailys are really easy!)

Cooking can be irritating, but you can basically level it from 1-375 in one sitting if you are patient enough! If you happen to have fishing, you can fish your way to 375, but you will have to do a bit of farming or buy some things in the Auction House to get past 225. When you reach 225 you have to make your way to Tanaris and find Dirge in the Inn in Gadgetzan. He'll ask you to bring him
  • 20 Alterac Swiss - can get from Trias Cheese in Stormwind (and lots of other places)
  • 10 Zesty Clam Meat - can get from the turtles along the beach in Tanaris
  • 12 Giant Eggs - can get from the Rocs in Tanaris or the Owlbeasts in Hinterlands
When you bring Dirge these items, he'll make it so you can learn up past 225. Cooking is great if you are a healer, because you can make yourself Golden Fish sticks when you get high enough, which give you a bonus to healing. There are also a ton of other buff food that is excellent in raids and sell like hot cakes in the Auction House. Plus, the cooking dailys are usually really easy and you can get rare recipes that make interesting things!

Now onto the Primary Professions. You can only chose two of these, and chose wisely, because if you want to change them, you will lose all the points you've earned toward the profession you drop, and there is no way of getting those points back!

Enachanting: Once feared because of the insane location of the trainer (inside the instance Uldaman) which they have now changed, this profession is rather difficult to get to 375. Basically, if you disenchant every single green you pick up while questing, you may still need to go farm for a few hours to get the mats you require to level. If you are interested in an easy and fast profession, do not get enchanting! It is great for healers/ casters because of the enchants you can get for your rings at 375, and if you are lucky enough to snag some really good patterns in raids/ instances, you can make a fair bit of money with it in the end. Personally, I can't say that I have ever made any money with my enchanting however. I am 375, and have a lot of good patterns, but I am not the type of person to spam trade trying to sell my services, so I only use them on myself and my friends. If you are planning on just buying mats to level, you can expect to fork out a few thousand gold at least on this baby! The mats are probably the most expensive for any profession.

Jewel Crafting: This profession was added in the Burning Crusade expansion, and if your character is a Draenei, you may want to pick it up because they have a racial + to this profession. If you do decide on Jewel Crafting, you MUST have mining as your other primary profession. If you don't it is going to cost you SO MUCH to purchase all the ore you will need to prospect and all the gems! I had two 375 miners, and had saved most of what I had gathered leveling them up, and I still needed to buy ore and such from time to time. When you get up to 365ish, you will find that you only get points for cutting blue gems (unless you are lucky enough to find certain patterns that I did not have.) This isn't as bad as you may think, because although each blue gem is 20g-65g, once you cut them and get your points, you can turn around and reauction them for more! Jewel crafting is actually a very good money making profession once you get up to 375, and one that I did not find too irritating to level.

Tailoring: Tailoring is probably one of the easiest professions to level up until you reach 350. Before level 350 you can just use the cloth you find while you are questing/ doing instances to level up, and if you happen to have Enchanting as your other primary profession, then you can DE the greens/ blues that you make for Enchanting mats. Once you reach 350, tailoring can become somewhat pricey. You will need to make imbuded netherweave robes to get to 375, which take so much netherweave, netherweb spider silk and arcane dust that it will drain your gold or take up a lot of your time while you farm. Despite this, if you are a cloth wearer, it is a great profession to have! If you are not a cloth wearer (my paladin has it) then you can still make a lot of money making the specialty cloths and rare/ epic items!

Blacksmithing: Anyone who has reached 375 blacksmithing, I have a special respect for you! This profession is a constant struggle, and despite the 1000g I have put into it and my three 375 miners, I am still stuck around 365. Of course I could just spend another 1000g to get my last 10 points, or spend hours and hours searching for mining nodes, but I haven't been bored enough to do that yet! If you are a blacksmith, you will also need to be a miner. Expect much frustrations, lots of farming, and be prepared to put out lots of gold! If you are lucky enough to find a really good pattern at 375, I assume you could make back your gold.

Alchemy: If you are looking for an easy profession to level that can still make you a lot of money, Alchemy would be it! It is definitely the easiest non-gathering profession to level and if you have herbalism as your second primary profession it is really cheap to level! The elixirs and health/ mana pots that you can make at 375 come in handy a lot and you can sell them easily in the Auction House. Also, you can make flasks which will also sell for a fair bit!

Herbalism: Herbalism is really easy to level if you do it while you are leveling! If you are 70 and pick up herbalism, it can be somewhat of a pain because unlike mining where you can smelt for points, you have to go out and physically pick every plant in order to gain points. With an epic mount and some good tunes you can go out and get up to 375 in one sitting, but it does take a while so be patient! You can sell the plants you pick for good money or use them to level your Alchemy.

Skinning: Skinning is a good profession to grab if you're not sure what you want to get, but just want to have something, or if you are a leather worker (obviously). If you are leveling it while you are leveling, it is really simple, just make sure to remember to skin whatever you kill! Leather from Outland can sell very well, so if you want a good gold making gathering profession, this one isn't bad!

Leatherworking: If you are a leather-wearer or a mail-wearer, leather working is a handy little profession to grab! Not only can you make yourself some decent gear for level 70, you can also make handy little things like Drums of War, that are great for raids! It does take a lot of leather to level, so make sure you have skinning as your second primary profession, or you may have to spend a lot to buy all the leather.

Mining: This profession is easy to level if you do so while you are leveling (like most gathering professions) but if you are 70 and grab it, be prepared for some frustration! I have leveled it starting at level 70 twice now, lol and it is time consuming!!! Mining is probably the most handy of the gathering professions to have however, because the ore and stones are needed for Blacksmithing, Jewel crafting, Engineering, and little things you can make (like belt buckles) are needed in all the other professions as well (except Alchemy). If you are only picking one profession to start off with, I'd recommend grabbing mining just because it pairs up nicely with so many other professions!

Engineering: This profession used to be the most unused of all the professions, but after one of the latest patches added the buildable flying mounts, a lot of people grabbed it! The fact that you can make yourself a little helicopter flying mount is really cool, but this profession is really hard to level. Basically, if you are taking up engineering, make sure you keep like everything you make! Each time you learn more patterns, they take items that you made to level up a few skill points ago. Once you make it to 375 though there are a lot of really sweet things you can make yourself, including a really nice helm. If you want a profession that is going to make you a lot of gold, this probably isn't a good one to go with. It is mostly a self-buffing profession.

Hopefully this will help if you are trying to make a decision on which professions to chose! If you have any further questions/ concerns please feel free to contact me at lilgamergirl@gmail.com or leave a comment!

Bored on WoW? Top 10 Things to do to Pass The Time!

Whether you're waiting on a battleground to que, for your arena team to get it together, or just wasting time while you look for a group, wait for a raid, or spam the trade chat, everyone sometimes finds themselves bored and waiting in the World of Warcraft. So yeah, most people would then shut off the game, and go out and find something more interesting to do, but for the rest of us... here are a list of my top ten things to do to pass the time in WoW!

(If you have something you do, that isn't on my list, please comment about it! I'd like to have a wide variety of choices for activities when I find myself with nothing to do! lol)

In no particular order, here they are:

1 Ironforge Square Jumping - This is a new one for me, as I only heard about it yesterday! Excellent for long or short wait times, and all it requires is that you be in Ironforge! It's simplistic genius is astounding! lol Basically, if you look at the floor in IF, you will see it is made up of large brown tiles, and smaller greyish-blue tiles. Square jumping entails jumping from grey square to grey square, which you may think is too simple to be fun, but there are ones that are close together, that require the rather tricky ability of switching from running to walking mid jump! Also, once you get the basic jumping down, you can incorporate some 360s into your jumps, lol.

2 Stormwind Fountain Dancing bank, jump up, and start dancing! You'll be surprised how many people join you! ( - One of my favorite WoW pass times for sure! Just head to the fountain outside of the Stormwindespecially if your character is female and happens to be wearing no armor! lol) Not sure how to get up on the fountain?? It's easy! Just stand on one of the corners, as far back as you can manage without falling off. Then jump up to the next level at the corner. (see my pic for more clarification) To get up on the statue's head, just jump up, it may take a few tries, but it is possible!

3 Random Whispers - So this one you can do from anywhere, and it can be extremely entertaining! Basically, just think of something completely random that someone might say in the midst of a conversation... (ex: "OMG He actually asked you if you thought it would fit!?") Taken in context, it's harmless, Sally says: Josh asked if I thought the dress would fit me. Your Response: OMG he actually asked you if you thought it would fit!?... see, harmless! But, whisper only your line to someone random, followed promptly by a OMG MT, srry, and prepare to laugh... lol. Everyone will take it the wrong way, lol. Alright, so it's childish, and goofy, but it is funny! You can get a bit more riskay with your whispers too, just don't be too extreme because you don't want to offend some 10 year old girl and get reported!

4 Explore On Top of Ironforge and Under Ironforge - So they did take the wall jumping out of the game (which seemed to be what a lot of people did when they were bored in WoW, me included) but you can still get on top of IF and I am assuming under it as well, because there is no invisible stairs to climb! Getting up is easy, although it will probably require a map so I'll make one shortly after I finish this blog and post it. Getting under is easy as well, but you need the assistance of a bored mage friend. I'll explain it in detail when I map out how to get on top of IF too.

5 Hide and Seek/ Duck Duck Goose - Have a raid that is taking forever to get ready? A few members of your arena team being slackers and haven't logged on yet?? Well, get out of your group, pick a city, pick who is "it", and have fun! Basic hide and seek can be great, but if you want to make it more like hide and seek tag, get a few leather balls and give them to whoever is "it". When they find someone, they must throw the ball and get it into their inventory to tag them, lol. Also, if you're mid raid and half the people go afk, throw in a quick game of Duck Duck Goose!

6 Take Care of the Tram Rat Infestation - Always a favorite for people who just like to kill things, head on over to the Iron Forge side of the Deep Run Tram and start killing rats. They respawn as you kill them, so you'll never run out! If you have a weapon skill that you've been neglecting leveling, this is the place to do it!

7 Sewer Beast Hunting - That's right! There really is a giant albino crock that haunts the Stormwind canals! Although he is extremely rare, if you find yourself standing around bored in SW, go for a swim! He can spawn basically anywhere in the canals, so make sure you check for him everywhere! Be careful if you are below level 61 though! Oh... and he doesn't actually drop any sweet loot, but you'll be able to say that you are one of the few who have actually found and killed the sewer beast!

8 Dueling - When all else fails, head to the gates of IF or SW and you are sure to find someone your level who is willing to duel you! If you don't see anyone, just step back into the city and say you want someone to duel... Won't take long for someone else who is bored to show up!

9 Follow People - It's more like stalking I guess, but it's entertaining for a while! Pick some random level 10, or a 70 if you prefer, and just start following them all over the city. If they take the griffin or hearth, /who them and find out where they went, then go there and find them again! No doubt it will freak the person out, lol, which is what makes it fun.

10 Sell Cats - So this one is a little more complicated, and if you have no sales skills, you wont be very successful at it. Know where the crazy cat lady lives?? Just head out of SW, you'll find her house between SW gates and Northshire Abby. Buy a variety of cats from her, then go back to SW, stand on the steps of the AH, and just like little Pepitos, try and sell your cats to the players that pass you!

Zenthos The Not So Mighty GM....LoL

So, for the past couple days I have been leveling a new character on a PvP server. I logged back onto my old server after getting kind of lonely on the PvP one, lol and just as I logged on, I noticed something strange in the general chat of Storm Wind.

I was on my bank character, scoping out who was online to chat with like I usually do, when I noticed that someone who was chatting in general had "Blizz" in front of their name, and not just like a title, like a little Blizz icon! So of course I was like, "omg a GM!" lol

I noticed that the GM seemed to be making a PvP group or something, so I rushed to the keep to see if I could get a glimpse of one of the all powerful GMs! No such luck, but I did come across Machete! (The pig in the picture above) He was level 65 and showed up as hostile, but you couldn't actually attack him because I guess he was the GM's pet. I had actually seen an animal like this one time in the Swamp of Sorrows that had shown it's name in red, and it had me targeted and was following me around a bit before disappearing, and had always wondered about it. I guess it may have been a GM Hunter's pet?

So I hung out with Machete in the keep for a while, he wasn't targeting anything or moving around much, just kinda hanging out, but the GM was talking in general chat a little bit, not really talking to anyone in particular, just talking. I decided to try and see the GM, so I asked politely for the piggy to show me to the GM... lol. The pig then started running and I followed it! haha. It was so much faster than me, and a bunch of people on mounts were following it (my character was like level 1, lol) but the pig kept stopping and turning back to wait for me to catch up! lol.

Anyways, so I followed it to just outside the Auction House in Storm Wind where it jumped up on a box and stopped(the place I have circled on the following pic), so I asked the pig if the GM was around, and the GM said he was in like the "/s" chat, but no one could see him because he was invisible or something, lol. He told us all to dance, lol so we did, and then said that everyone who wanted something had to go send him some gold and he'd give them what they wanted before Blizz took away his powers, lol.

I quickly ran to the mail box and sent the "GM", whos name was Zenthos, 5G and asked for a baby Phoenix pet, lol. I never even questioned why the GM would want my gold, just really wanted to get something special from him! lol...

So after a few more minutes, Machete disappeared and then the "GM" came back online as just a regular player! I am not sure exactly what happened, but I guess basically it was just some guy who had hacked something, lol? I armory'd the guy... too bad he didn't hack himself some better gear... lol This is him here. So basically I was all excited because I thought I was following around a GM's pig... when really it was just some hunter who managed to make his pet look aggressive, himself disappear, and get it to say "Blizz" before his name, lol. I kinda wish I had sent him more gold though, because that was one of the best scams I've ever seen for getting some fast cash! lol. I hope he doesn't get banned for too long, haha, because it all was rather entertaining!

What World of Warcraft Class Am I?? Quiz

Been wondering what class you should try out in the World of Warcraft? Already have a level 70 character and want to see if you are playing the right class for you??

For each of the following questions, record the letters listed at the end of the option ( out of O,K,N,J,H,G,F,B,V) that you choose, on a sheet of paper. For example, if you chose option a from question #1, you would record "K,J,G". Do not peek ahead and see what they represent because you'll spoil it!

1) You're fighting a nasty gnoll and know it's toast after only three more hits, when all of a sudden it takes off and pulls three of it's friends! What do you do?
a)GTFO (run away) -K, J, G
b)Chase after the almost dead gnoll, kill him, then run away -H, G, J, V
c)Destroy the gnoll and then turn on his friends, you never run away! -F, O, B, N, V
d)Message your level 70 friend and tell them to come help you kill stupid gnolls. -K, J

2) You're in an instance and an item you could use drops, who else do you have to roll against?
a)Basically everyone in the group, but I don't mind, if I am meant to get it, I'll win! -K, F, G
b)A few other people, but my chances are good. -B, N, V, H
c)Just one other person, and they don't really need it! -J
d)No one! I am the only one here that could use it. -O
e)I'd just ninja it anyways, so this question does not apply to me... -H, B

3) The guild you are in needs a tank and a healer for tomorrow night, what do you do?
a)respec so I can help them out. -N, O
b)hope that they find someone so that the raid is not cancelled. -H, V, B, K,
c)get one of my friends to help out. -G, K
d)find a new guild because this one sucks. -F, J

4) When leveling, you prefer which of the following?
a)To level alone and level quickly. -F, N, B, V
b)To level alone, but I'm not in a rush. I want to take my time and learn my class. -G, H, O, J
c)To level with a close friend. (who may be my level, or level 70...) -K, J, O
d)To level by doing only instances! -K, J

5) Your guild tells you they need you to respec. What do you do?
a)Tell them no way! You are and have always been the same spec and that isn't changing for anyone! -H, B
b)Tell them you will, but only if they pay for it. -K, V, O, J, N, G
c)Say no, you would if you could, but you like your spec. -F, G
d)Eagerly agree, you love to help out! -N, J, O, K

6)Someone randomly asks you if you'd like to group up and do some quests, you say:
a)Sure! The more the merrier. -K, G, J
b)You check their guild first, if they are from something that is well known, you agree, otherwise you say no thank you. -O, N, F, B
c)You are already grouped with a friend and the two of you agree to say no. -J, H, V
d)You put them on your ignore list, stupid noobs... -B, F, H

Alright, now quickly look over your sheet of paper and add up how many of each letter you have recorded, how many B's or F's or K's etc, and figure out which one you have the most of.

Mostly O's? Try a Paladin!
Mostly K's? Try a Priest!
Mostly N's? Try a Druid!
Mostly J's? Try a Warrior
Mostly H's? Try a Rogue!
Mostly G's? Try a Mage!
Mostly F's? Try a Warlock!
Mostly B's? Try a Hunter!
Mostly V's? Try a Shaman!

I hope this was helpful and fun! =D

What Class Should I Play? - World of Warcraft

There are definitely similarities between the classes in World of Warcraft, but certain types of people will definitely enjoy playing certain types of classes more! Having played through each class a fair bit, and reached 70 on most of them, I thought I'd share my experience to perhaps make someone's choice easier when deciding what to play.

There are 9 different classes, and they are all available on both Alliance and Horde, but only certain races can be certain classes, so if you are really set on a Bloodelf for example, and you were thinking you would try a warrior, well you're out of luck, because Bloodelves cannot be warriors.

So, as I mentioned, if you have your heart set on a certain class, you're going to have a more limited choice as to what class you can play. That said, here is a quick rundown of each of the nine classes.

Warrior: Probably the most basic of all the classes, the warrior. Not to say it does not take a degree of skill to play, which is does if you are to be successful with it. Warriors are good if you like to grind level (kill mobs over and over instead of doing quests) or if you are planning on leveling with friends. They can spec three ways: Arms-high dps & great for leveling, Fury-also high dps, good for pvp (but I don't really recommend fury, I've never been able to play well as fury), and Protection-good for raiding, but pretty ineffective as a solo leveling spec.

Paladin: If you are planning on leveling alone, and are new to WoW, a Paladin is a good place to start. They can do decent dps as the spec Retribution, but you can also effectively heal yourself. They are one of the few classes that when you reach 70, you'll be able to main tank, main heal or dps in raids. Quick rundown of the specs: Retribution-high dmg but depending on how you play your character you may have to drink a fair bit, Holy-almost impossible to level as by yourself, but as a level 70 undoubtedly one of the best healing classes, Protection-very effective leveling class if you grind/AoE level. At 70 they are in high demand and are very effective tanks.

Priest: You will definetly want to be Shadow spected for leveling (unless you are leveling with friends or doing instances in which case holy would be acceptable). There is also the Discipline spec, which can be rather frustrating to level as, but can do decent dps at 70. At 70 they are also very effective healers as Holy, although if you're not careful and pull agro on anything you will basically get one-shotted. You will have to drink A LOT, so patience is a must have!

Shaman: Shamans are a great class if you like being able to do things on your own. With all their totems it's like having a group of three whenever you need it. As leveling I'd recommend Enhancement, which can do high dps but does not burn through your mana. At level 70 Enhancement shamans are usually some of the top dps raid wise. There is Elemental, which is effective dps, but only once you are a high enough level to get all the good talents (I would not recommend it before level 65) Elemental is amazing in PvP. As Restoration, they are very effective healers and are in high demand, but leveling as Resto is nearly impossible by yourself.

Hunter: When people say that playing a hunter is like playing WoW on easy mode, they are correct. A hunter can survive almost any situation they find themselves in and can easily kill an elite three levels above them with only their pet for assistance. Though they are easy, if you are skilled at playing your hunter, they can be the top dps in instances, raids and pvp! The most effective spec for leveling is Beastmastery-Your pet can tank almost anything, destroys mobs, and you still do a fair bit of dmg yourself. Marksman-is high dps on your part, but you'll find your pet will lose agro quickly and you wont be able to take on as many things at once. Also, you will have to drink fairly often. Survival-I am not sure what survival would be good for... there are certain talents I'd recommend grabbing once your finished with one of the other specs, but to level as full survival would not be practical.

Mage: Mages can do amazing dps, and if you are good enough, they can AoE grind like no other. They do burn through mana fast however, so basically no matter what spec you are, you are going to have to drink after only a few pulls. I guess that is why they can make their own water and food. For leveling it is a toss up between fire and frost. As Fire, you will deal a large amount of dmg quickly (so quickly in fact that most of the time a mob will not even reach you before it is dead). Fire is not so handy against more than one mob at a time however, so if you wanted to try out the AoE grinding, you'd want to go with Frost. Frost is more effective too when it comes to handling more mobs at one time by yourself. There is also the Arcane spec, which I would not recommend until 70, and then only partially after specing fire. Then you will do insane dps.

Warlock: Out of all my characters, I'd say the warlock was the easiest to level. They are most effective leveling from 1-50 as either Affliction or Destruction, because you will basically kill things fast enough that it wont matter if your pet loses agro. Once you are able to get the Felguard however, Demonology becomes basically like the beastmastery spec for hunters. You can kill almost anything on your own. I leveled my warlock from 10-70 as affliction, and I did not need to drink that often, and my Voidwalker held agro fine, so I would recommend it for leveling. I am still affliction, and raid wise it does a good amount of dmg.

Druid: Druids are so easy to level if you can manage to get to level 20. At level 20 you get cat form, which does the dps of a rogue, except you can heal yourself. You never have to drink and you kill things fast! So for leveling I'd say GO FERAL! Druids are the other class that, at 70, you can do anything with. As Feral they make excellent tanks and do pretty decent dps, as Restoration they are the best healers in the game, and as Balance they do amazing ranged dps. If you are not sure what you want to do at 70, and are looking for an easy class to level, druids are for you! The only problem with them, is that you are limited to playing either a Nightelf or a Tauren.

Rogue: The rogue is very effective as a dps class, but the main problem with them is everyone and their uncle has a level 70 rogue and is looking for a raid guild... so you'll have to work hard when the time comes to get yourself into a good guild. There are SO many ways to spec your rogue, and they are all fairly effective for leveling, but if you are really serious about them I would suggest checking here for a description of possible builds. The three specs are Assassination, Combat and Subtlety. Personally I am a Combat (swords) rogue.
